Question Will people remember something better after seeing it or hearing it?
HYPOTHESIS We believe that if someone looks at the numbers they will remember them better than when someone else read the numbers to them because when we tried it and we experimented it by ourselves we got more when we looked at the cards ourselves .
materials 24 paper cards with seven random numbers 6 different people each get 2 cards one read to them the other they read, timer, computer with internet , and clipboard to hold data
1.We made 24 cards with random numbers from random .org 2.We showed them a card for 30 seconds and timed them then took back the card. We took back the cards and had them recite the alphabet . Then we asked them to tell us the numbers that were on the card then we wrote down how many they got right . 3.Then to test there auditory memory we read them another card with 7 different numbers and read them all the numbers three times slowly. After we read them the numbers we asked them to recite the alphabet then we asked them to tell us the numbers that were on the card. Then we wrote down there scores. procedure
variable Our variable is that sometimes they read a card to themselves and sometimes we read a different card to them.
