3. Idea Conception
In today’s transition of how people interact with any physical objects has changed
and moved much towards digital age where the objects can be interacted through
digital medium.
Today, the web is not just about browser or apps its more.
“Internet of Things” is the next big thing in the technology world. Now the
appliances can talk to each other and to the user.
But unfortunately, user needs to install multiple apps to interact with the devices.
Hence we are proposing an idea where all apps are integrated into one intelligent
app which can perform and notify the user based on time, location, preference,
need, activity etc…
We are providing an integrated customer experience for the users to smartly
interact with smart devices.

4. What does our logo entail?
Name of the app : Dolly
Tagline : It’s your clone
Interpretation
The application intelligently helps the user in day to day
house hold activities. Here, the application is identified
as the reflection of the user. In other words, for example
the user needs to remember things that he needs to buy
or perform any activity.
Only a user’s clone can be the best choice, to help the
user and assist him with any and all information and
hence the first clone (Dolly*) is taken as an analogy for
our application.
* Dolly (5 July 1996 – 14 February 2003) was a female domestic sheep, and the first animal to be cloned

5. Intended Ecosystem – An High-level architectural illustration
Ecosystem Explanation:
Each and every smart devices has their own apps
that the user has to access to perform any activity.
We would access APIs of various home smart
devices to read device inputs to user
 The device sends critical information via router to
the cloud.
 The algorithm in the server would consolidate
the information and prioritizes the information.
 The iPhone would sync to the information in the
cloud on a periodical basis to update the app
 The iPhone would push critical information to
apple watch and also allow the user to perform
any task on the connected devices

6. How do I make my home smarter?
Landing Page:
On load, the user will be able to view – Map of the house, various connected
devices, preferences to alter the initial setup, security to launch any security
related actions and also a microphone to make the app work on your command
and an option to lock down the house.
Away:
On selecting away, the app would shutdown the house and ensures
all the security protocol is invoked by enabling security cameras, set
door to lock and other activities defined in the preferences.
Preference :
This is the key to setup the app and make the home much more smarter than
ever before.
Below are the options that would be available:
 Configure any smart device from any brand like smart fridge or smart TV or
smart Thermostat or other smarter kitchen appliances.
 Set wakeup time and regular day to day activities.
 Define watch notifications

7. How do I make my home smarter?
Map:
The map displays the entire layout of the house with the rooms with any
appliance / utility devices running is denoted by a green dot. User can select any
room and zoom into the room to access any connected device and perform
actions on the device from the comfort of his place.
Security:
The user can access the security cameras that are setup in his house to monitor
surrounding activities. When there is a bell at the front door, the user can view
the person and answer the door from his place. Also when there is any security
breach in the home, the app alerts the user to take the action.
Speak:
The user can speak to the app, on command the app will perform any action to
the connected device.
Temperature Control:
Smart temperature control can be handled by the app with preferences set and
also set any temperature at any time through the app.

Gardening:
You can access the gardening tools like water pump, water sprinkler etc… to
activate / stop at any time and
Kitchen Appliances:
All connected kitchen appliances will be displayed and you can talk to the
appliances
Entertainment:
You can connect to any entertainment devices like TV / Music system etc…
without the remote through just the app.
Utilities:
Any house utility fixtures like light, fan etc… can be turned on or off using the app
Home Appliances:
Connected home appliances like washing machine, dryer can be accessed from
the app.

10. Where does a Apple watch help me?
6:00 am Alarm wakes up the user and displays option to switch on/off lights as per the preference set
6:15 am When the user leaves the house, watch determines that the user is about to start to run with the
preferences set and alerts user if he would like to invoke the “Aptitud” app to monitor fitness. The
App also reminds the user about the security that the he would like to impose to the house
7:15 am Its Breakfast time, user has to get things ready when he is ready to leave to office. The watch
prompts to start the coffee machine, toaster and switch on the TV / Radio to get the day starting.
7:30 am The watch determines when its time to leave house with the inputs of traffic status from other
devices. Provides option for the user to invoke “Ecoride” to request ride to office.
7:30 am On leaving the house, the watch determines your location and asks the user if it can make the house
devices to away state which performs actions as defined in the preferences
11:30 am A security breach at house!!! user is alerted with the live video footage and provides option to
contact help.
6:00 pm The smart connected devices pushes the grocery items that are empty or about to get empty. When
the user arrives at the grocery store, the phone determines the geo-fence and pulls all the grocery
list and alerts the user.

7:30 pm Its Laundry time, User can leave the worry of leaving the clothes longer in the machine. The watch
would help the user to promptly take action on the clothes.

9:30 pm Friends are here for the barbecue, the smart assistant will let u know when the grill is turning black
and when the oven needs a visit.
10:30 pm End of day, and its sleep time. You can see what are the various connected devices / utility items
running and turn off any device instantly without needing to go get up from the rest.

When user enters Wal-Mart, watch
determines the location then pulls the list
from the house connected devices and
also the appointments to display all items
that are needed from the store
The app maps the items necessary to
store’s floor plan and indoor mapping.
The list is displayed to the user one by
one with location and also offers in the
product
When user needs the know the route of
the aisle, the watch helps the user with
the route

The taken button will mark the item as
taken and adds it to the completed item.
When the user does not place the item to
the connected device, the watch will
smartly advices the user of missing item.
On completion of the list, the watch
displays the missed items. On dismiss,
watch would help the user to bring up
apple pay to complete the transaction.
