  • Review of 2009
  • At that time
  • It has been passed 15 months since I had this presentation in Manila, so now, it’s time to say about the real changes after then.
  • legal identity with the incorporation, more burden for collecting legal documents and papers, tax bill, and social insurance bills.
  • So, just jump up to the relationship
  • CC Korea is registered on the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in Korea, and we are also a registered charity now.
  • Membership for the corporation of CC Korea
  • CC Korea association consists of individual and corporate members. NHN, Daum joined as a corporate member last year. Nate will be a corporate member through the collaboration of this conference. Most of the individual members are volunteers now, we have a plan for more members in order to activate our organization. Through this work, we found out that It is for making a close relationship between CCKorea and corporations, not a membership to raise money.
  • Seoul metropolitan government already signed on MOU with CC Korea. Also, many governmental departments in Korea want to collaborate with us. Especially, they are interested in CC about gov2.0 section.
  • Yes, we finally got our office. In last September.
  • CC Korea agit We have 2 staffs now, before then, I was the only staff of CC Korea.
  • The young volunteer team with university students
  • With these kind of event, we make connection with other communities
  • In this year, We’re interested in Sharing Economy.
  • To prepare the festival, we contacted about 10 film directors in the world.3 of them came to Korea for the event. Jamie, Brett and Tim. Volunteers operates a blog, translated subtitles over 10 films.
  • Now what we leaned last 15 months activities and what we found a new way to make volunteers participate with our projects is.. Once we start some small project first, keep exposing information to our volunteers, and it figures out outline, Then we could meet people who’s interested already from the outside. That means we could see outside of our volunteer community. Then we don’t need the regular recruiting for the new volunteers.
  • You saw our community site yesterday in jay’s presentation. However, That’s not a whole community
  • We find a person to be a center, Make a core group with 2~3 people, And keep giving information to our CC community, And expand to the outside of our community.
  • We realized we are also one of the lots of communities. The next one is the small pieces and loosely joined. “social network” That could make us to connect to the unlimited people and expand of our community. It’s totally different with the just ‘public’.
  • our old version of community, it shaped Thin and small.
  • Now, our community has a diversity and shapes wider and thicker
  • And also Lots of layers and various spots connected with Small pieces loosely joined individuals, communities, and organizations.
  • We are making loose and tight relationship together. With various domain and level. That’s all we experienced and learned from our activities.
