  • Mr. Winkle may have found a school that hasn't changed, but all I'm hearing from students, the newspaper and teachers is how they are using technology in the classroom. Met the new vice-principal from St. Ann School at a restaurant tonight and we were discussing digital technology. Remember chalk boards? They have smart boards now at St. Ann's. When I was showing my nine year old grandson from Wisconsin some of things I have learned at DDBC, he said, 'Oh, we already do that!' So much for teaching my grandson!!

  80. 80. Our Time of Big ChangesWe who have lived through any part of the twentieth century have experienced changes that go far beyond the ordinary. We are living in a time that is as revolutionary as any in history… • What have I experienced in my lifetime? • How have these events and trends changed my world and worldview? • How do I bring these experiences to my prayer?

  83. 83. Horn Chips Advice as we face massive, unsettling changes. . .• He notes that in such tumultuous times we cannot predict the way ahead: “changes come that are too great to foresee, far too great to understand.”• In all ages, not only in times of great change, men and women have had to walk forward into the future with hope and trust, not knowing precisely how things would turn out.
  84. 84. Facing massive changes. . .Jesus of Nazarethhimself had to go tohis death on thecross in faith andhope and love, notknowing how, buttrusting that hisFather would bringlight out of thisdarkness: “Father, into your hands Icommend my spirit”(Luke 23:46) http://shayecornell.myadventures.org
  85. 85. Horn Chips Advice as we face massive, unsettling changes. . .• He says: “When the old ways are dead, it means that a new way is upon us. We cannot discern it yet, but it is at hand”• Take comfort in our Christian belief, that no matter what it looks like, God has done all that is needful for the salvation of the world in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
  86. 86. Moreover it will seem that all is lost“I think we will notsee the new way,”Horn Chips states. “Ithink it will notbecome visible forseven generations. In that time thehoop of the peoplewill seem to bebroken, and the http://www.fordesigner.com/maps//9677-0.htmflowering tree willseem to bewithered.”
