This service takes place near the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, and it celebrates the wonderful diversity of God’s creation.   2. 2. Sunday, October 20th at 4:30 pm The Mark Eisenman Quintet Sunday Children’s Programs  The Nest is our certified childcare program designed for children under the age of 4. The Nest opens prior to the 10:00 service in our nursery space on the third floor. Tuta Shurdha is our certified Nest coordinator, and she is accompanied by a volunteer parent or teen assistant. If you would like to use this service, please ask one of the sidespeople to direct you to the Nest.  PromiseLand is our church school for children from the ages of 5 to 12. The children meet in the church at 10:00 am, and then move to the St. Nicholas Chapel during the opening hymn. Natalie Kemp is our Director of Children’s Education, and would be happy to tell you more about Promiseland.  YAL – Young Anglican Leaders meet regularly for learning, fellowship, food and fun. Please speak with Natalie Kemp for more details about YAL. Thursday 12:10 pm October 10th Rising Stars Recital Featuring performance students from the Glen Gould School Stefan Chaplikov-Piano Re-Imagining Church: Shaped for Mission – this 5-week course will be offered in Elliott Hall on Tuesdays from 7:00- 9:00 pm beginning October 15th . The course will be taught by our Area Bishop, the Right Reverend Patrick Yu, and the Reverend Susan Bell, the Archbishop’s Officer for Mission. The content of the course compliments the work that we have been doing as a parish to re-imagine our church in a changing culture. Please consider attending these 5 evenings. In the Path of Abraham – Join the 2nd Toronto-based Jewish- Christian-Muslim encounter of the Holy Land. This will be co- led by our own parishioner/ecumenical partner, Dr. Karen Hamilton. The artist is available to answer any questions about her work. An Introduction to Christian Meditation will take place on Monday, October 7th at 11:15 am in the Arthur Smith Room. If you would like to contribute seasonal fruits and vegetables for the decoration of the church, please bring them to the sacristy by next Friday. After Thanksgiving, these items will be donated to the Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank. Challenging Christianity meets on Friday, October 18, from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm, in the Arthur Smith Room, to continue discussing "Your God is too small."
