  2. 2. What are Podcasts and Vodcasts? <ul><li>A podcast is an audio file that can be broadcasted and downloaded via the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>A vodcast is a video file that that can be broadcasted and downloaded via the internet. </li></ul>
  3. 3. How To Create Podcasts <ul><li>Option 1: Computer Recordings </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Record your audio through the use of an iPod and microphone. Download it to the computer. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Record your audio through the use of a microphone and Movie Maker , Audacity, or another form of audio software. </li></ul></ul>

How to Create Online Vodcasts <ul><li>Option 1: Webcam Recordings </li></ul><ul><li>Record with Webcam attached to the computer or insert photos using Movie Maker . </li></ul><ul><li>Record video or upload photos directly in the free web site. </li></ul><ul><li>Record your desktop for tutorials and directions. The SMART software can be used for this. </li></ul><ul><li>All Video channels should be private and protected by passwords in order to ensure student confidentiality and privacy. </li></ul>

Vodcast Create a Ustream.tv Channel <ul><li>Go to http://ustream.tv to create a private class channel. </li></ul><ul><li>Record classroom activities with your webcam and save to your channel. </li></ul><ul><li>Students will need a password to view the video. </li></ul><ul><li>Embed the video code into your edline account. </li></ul>
