Citb social media - Strategic Custom Illustrations for Social Media

  1. 1. ? are yo in love with you ur customers
  2. 2. I decided to take a leap.
  3. 3. It was a new year, not just any year but a year with 366 days. As I looked into my cup of coffee January 1,2012 I decided to leap and literally draw on my courage, creativity and inspired hope creating a daily illustrated series called "What my Coffee says to me."
  4. 4. "What my Coffee says to me" - A typical day Jennifer R. Cook is a creative, strategic visual communication designer and illustrator who knows how to make your business become catnip to your customers. CGD, BFA, head cat 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily 6: 00 a.m. What my Coffee says to me, starts with fresh cup of Dark Roast for my Bodum, followed by online research, checking news feeds, exploring online trends and finally, cultural considerations. All of this information steeps and brews in my head. When it percolates enough I put pen to paper and start creating the first illustrated cup of coffee for the day. 8:00 a.m. Sometimes it's a sketch. Sometimes, it's a pen and ink drawing, a watercolour or a painting. The creative result is always scanned for digital touches and preparation for social a media push. 8:30 a.m. Social media push begins. (At this point I have consumed the fourth cup of coffee.) AT 677 DAYS: • People are asking "what kind of coffee I drink?" They want the same. • Twitter retweets are up 15%. Pinterest repins up 20% • People are sharing, liking and interacting with me more on a more frequent basis. - Facebook, I take a few minutes to compose the message that accompanies the posting. I like to alter the message for each page I post to so the message resonates with that company. Then I post to public, then to my personal page. - Twitter, With only a few words to work with, I find creative words with punch to write the Tweet message. Here I tweet between 200 - 350 people every 2 hours. I often alter the message for the specific twitter follower. This is a more effective and personalized approach. 10:00 a.m. I break from tweeting "What my Coffee says to me" and interact with my followers. If you want people to promote or follow you, it is important to interact as much as you can. d of mine! a frien Any friend of coffee is 11:30 a.m. I post to other social media venues. 11:45 a.m. Pinterest - Pinterest is a place for people to pin things they like. On Pinterest media you will find branded companies promoting, pinning and repinning. Pinterest involves a different type of inter-activity with followers. I am notified via email when someone has repinned, liked or commented on What my Coffee says to me. 1:45 p.m. - Google+ I call it FaceBook on steroids. Dynamic interactivity, easy, drag and drop for images and smooth posting. I am notified of plusses and shares. Interactivity is important here as well. You have to participate in order to generate sharing and acquiring people to your circles. 2:00 p.m. - LinkedIn- you can post to LinkedIn and it will send to Twitter, nice short, snappy feeds, mostly business followers who are good to be connected with. 2:30 p.m. I will go back to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Google+ throughout the afternoon, check on feeds, postings, retweets, likes, repins. I repost the graphic again and look for ways to help some of my followers, by sharing information, or interesting posts about coffee or tea. __________________________________________________________ On July 12, 2012 I started a new daily, series called What my #Tea says to me it will reach 731 illustrations on July 13, 2014. In July of 2013 I started creating IllustraTEAve Reviews for tea companies, they send me their products and I create an illustrated tea review. I have reviewed coffee products as well. People seem to enjoy the reviews in this format.
  5. 5. “Coffee and love are best when they are hot.” - German Proverb We know how to make social media hot just like your business! Through playful and professional daily interaction with all of your social media connections we will invite people to interact with YOUR business, asking questions, having followers vote, sending daily illustrated message, and inter activity with your connection throughout the day. Your custom illustrations and positive messages daily invite people to comment, ask questions, participate by offering their opinions, polling, voting, etc. By posting daily you will receive more retweets while actively engaging with, reading and retweeting your followers feeds. Daily feeds will work better in the long run for your business. We will understand all of the parameters and scope of your business and followers, in order to create your custom illustrated series that provides results. We love this part because research fuels the creative fire. We need to blend your demographic with daily research to create the most fun, playful and positive illustrated message each for you each day. We need to play with your line of products and beyond, finding creative ways to pair products, enlighten and inspire everyone with YOUR daily positive message. The goal is to attract a stronger social media following, which results in more people buying your product. Imagine each new creation poured out to all social media. We can do this for you. We can illustrate, post, tweet, pin, share with your followers every day. We strongly recommend creating these inspired daily illustrations for Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest and Google+
  6. 6. Package one - Turnkey illlustration and daily posting 1. Daily research, absorb and incubate information as creative fuel to create your illustation and post. 2. Create the illustration, prepare the illustration as digital file for social media push, 3. Social Media push in the morning and throughout the day. - Twitter - FaceBook - Pinterest - Google+ 4. At the end of each month we can ask followers to vote on the best illustration for that month. This invites people to interact with your business. The highest voted illustration could be released as a design on a poster, coffee cup, apron, or screensaver etc. for resale worldwide. Another consideration is you could sell the chosen illustration and raise money through the sales, for a charitable organization to build your profile and visibility as a good corporate citizen. 5. We will explore other interactive ideas such as asking the followers at day 150 what inspires them, and use those inspirations to create the next illustration. As with my daily illustrated series, What my Coffee says to me, the success stems from involving and interacting with the followers.
