First of all I opened PowerPoint from my ‘Start’ bar, whichgave me a new presentation.
Then I simply clicked on the ‘Click to add title’ box to give it aname and the same with the subtitle box to add my name to it.
I then added a new blank slide by clicking the ‘New Slide’ dropdown on the tool bar and selecting ‘Blank’. I chose to add a blankslide as I was adding my own picture and text and didn’t need aspecific layout.
I then went onto Google Images to find a TV Magazine frontcover that I wanted to annotate, when found I right-clickedand selected ‘Copy image’.
To annotate the Front Cover I needed to add a text box into theslide. To do so I went into the ‘Insert’ tab at the top of the screenand selected ‘Text Box’. This gave me a different cursor whichallowed me to click and drag on the slide to add the text box.
Once I had typed in what I wanted to into the text box I thenwanted to insert an arrow so that I could make it clear which partof the Front Cover I was talking about. To do this I went to the‘Drawing’ section on the ‘Home’ tab and picked the arrow iconand clicked and dragged from the text box to the part of thepicture I was talking about.
To make the arrow more clearer I wanted to change the colour ofit so it would contrast with the colours of the front cover. To do thisI went to the ‘Format’ tab at the top of the screen and went to‘Shape Outline’ which gave me a drop down of different colours. Iselected red which automatically changed my arrow to red.
