<ul>Environmentalists saw many problems with the old circuses and the animals; where and how the animals were living, the constant transportation, stressfull training,difficulties in finding good living conditions (enough water, for example) in the places where circuses were. </ul>
<ul>A new name changed the history Cirque du Soleil´s first show in in 1984, they´ve never had a single animal on stage. And they are proud of it. </ul>
They started with a group of young artists in Quebec, Canada, transforming circus into a mixture of traditional circus arts with street entertainment, outrageous costumes and original music.
