Your hiking boots should be waterproofed, well broken in, and suitable for prolonged walking on rocky terrain and possibly snow. Gore-Tex rain/wind pants, preferably with full-length side zipper Trekking Items Hiking sticks (optional but highly recommended). Don't forget to bring this fundamental equipment, Patagonia’s weather is unpredictable! Heavy-duty plastic (preferably Nalgene brand) water bottle. Small flashlight with spare batteries, or small headlamp with spare batteries. Medium weight synthetic socks (we recommend Thorlo® Lt. Trekking). Personal first aid kit, including sunscreen and insect repellent.
