Committed to service and collaboration with members of the CSC community and outside constituents, staff guide clients through a process of self-discovery and affirmation. Career Development staff members work with individuals to identify and articulate the value and application of their liberal arts and professional education as related to their post graduation goals. Respecting the uniqueness of each person, staff offer a special focus and understanding of the complexities of women ’s issues including the need to find balance, purpose, and meaning during times of changing responsibilities and life roles. </li></ul>

  10. 11. Pre-Employment Coordinator Highlights <ul><li>The Pre-employment Coordinator position was designed to launch new initiatives in student employment. The goal of the position was to provide a quality experience with student work study as well as secure appropriate on-campus employment. </li></ul><ul><li>Presented new student employment process at Student Employment meetings. </li></ul><ul><li>Assisted the various departments in creating as many positions as possible for first year students. </li></ul><ul><li>Matched all first year students with on-campus job positions as well as coordinated the interview process. </li></ul><ul><li>Presented student employment information at summer registration and other orientation events. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with information specialist to create job postings and reports. </li></ul><ul><li>Served as a liaison between supervisor and student. </li></ul>

Career Development Highlights <ul><li>Proposed project to support students in their intellectual, professional, and personal growth by working collaboratively with staff, students, and the community to enhance communications and increase the number of jobs and internship positions for both students and alumni. </li></ul><ul><li>Raised the external and internal communication through organizing forms of communication, day-to-day literature, and student applications; increasing the job and internship database by 80%. </li></ul><ul><li>Assisted in teaching the Career Development Course. This included distribution of assessment tools, scoring, and completing research for the various topics covered within a job or major search. </li></ul>

FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) and FCCLA Teacher Assistant <ul><li>Assist the Director of Family Consumer Science Department with various projects for the foods and child development classes; helping the students learn the stages of development from womb to family. </li></ul><ul><li>Class preparation comprised of creating posters and promotional materials for student success, correcting all tests and daily papers, and compiling ingredients for food and nutrition classes. </li></ul><ul><li>Family Community Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) facilitator: assisting students with leadership competition projects, writing press releases, and judging all regional and national competitions. </li></ul>

Property Management Highlights <ul><li>Supervised 150 staff members for eleven apartment communities. </li></ul><ul><li>Motivated personnel to improve performance through clearer guidelines and closer coordinating of operations. </li></ul><ul><li>Resident and employee relations and retention, marketing and advertising, creating brochures/newsletters. </li></ul><ul><li>Trained personnel in leasing, policies, procedures, legal issues, and in charge of hiring all site personnel. </li></ul><ul><li>Developed and implemented performance bonus programs and all phases of resident and employee retention. </li></ul>
