Exporting Blog Data

  2. 2. Exporting - Step 1 Falkirk Council Education Services Log in to your edublogs dashboard and click on the ‘Tools’ icon.
  3. 3. Exporting – Step 2 Falkirk Council Education Services In the dropdown menu, select ‘Export’
  4. 4. Exporting – Step 3 Falkirk Council Education Services Click on the ‘Download Export File’ icon
  5. 5. Exporting – Step 4 Falkirk Council Education Services In the pop up window, click on ‘Save’
  6. 6. Exporting – Step 5 Falkirk Council Education Services Choose where you want to save the file to and select ‘Save’
  7. 7. Exporting - Step 6 Once the download has been completed, you can close this window
  8. 8. Importing – Step 1 Log in to your new primaryblogger blog dashboard and click on the ‘Tools’ icon
  9. 9. Importing – Step 2 In the dropdown menu, select ‘Import’
  10. 10. Importing – Step 3 In the next window, choose the ‘Wordpress’ option
  11. 11. Importing – Step 4 Browse for your file and then ‘Upload and Import’
  12. 12. Importing – Step 5 The example blog shown here has two authors. Tick the ‘Import Attachments’ box Select ‘Submit’
  13. 13. Importing – Step 6 A window will appear to show the Import progress
  14. 14. Importing – Step 7 Scroll down to the bottom of the window until you see the ‘All done’ message. Click on the ‘Have fun’ link
  15. 15. Importing – Step 8 Your blog will have the default theme. You’ll also notice a ‘Welcome Post’
  16. 16. Importing – Step 9 Scroll down and choose the ‘Site Admin’ option
  17. 17. Importing – Step 10 Tick the ‘Super Bananas’ post and choose delete in the ‘Bulk Actions’ option, then select ‘Apply’.
