  3. 3. SYMBOLS <ul><li>The flag of India is orange, white and green, meaning purity, peace and fertility. </li></ul><ul><li>One of the most important symbols is the Om, as a symbol of Hinduism. </li></ul>
  4. 4. CITIES <ul><li>India’s capital is New Delhi, but the most populated city and the economic center is Mumbai. </li></ul>
  5. 5. TAJ MAHAL <ul><li>Taj Mahal is one of the most important monuments in India. </li></ul><ul><li>Is situated in Agra. </li></ul><ul><li>Taj Mahal is not a palace, but a great tomb of an Indian queen. </li></ul>
  6. 6. GANDHI <ul><li>Gandhi was an important Indian pacifist. He was lawyer and politic, and one of the most influential persons in the country. </li></ul><ul><li>He fought for the rights and the independence of India. </li></ul>
  7. 7. ANIMALS <ul><li>India has a great diversity of wild animals. The most known and beauty are tigers and blue peafowls. </li></ul>
  8. 8. POVERTY <ul><li>India is one of the most beautiful and interesting countries in the world, but it has serious problems, for example the poverty. </li></ul><ul><li>Many children have to work in India to survive. </li></ul>
  9. 9. CULTURE <ul><li>The principal religion in India is Hinduism. </li></ul><ul><li>Sari is a traditional female cloth. </li></ul><ul><li>Rupia is the unit of currency in India. </li></ul>
