  2. 2. Beliefs and Values <ul><li>List values embraced by your early care and education professionals. </li></ul><ul><li>This is not part of the NAEYC document, but you will want to share your basic beliefs and values with your parents/families. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Promoting Positive Relationships <ul><li>Promote positive relationships for all children and adults to encourage each child’s sense of individual worth. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Curriculum <ul><li>Implement a curriculum that fosters all areas of child development: cognitive, emotional, language, physical, and social. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Effective Teaching Approaches <ul><li>Use developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate and effective teaching approaches . </li></ul>
  6. 6. Ongoing Assessments <ul><li>Provide ongoing assessments of each child’s learning and development and communicate the child’s progress to the family. </li></ul>
