  7. 7. UK & France already smaller than Nigeria
  8. 8. The stakes are high
  9. 9. So how is UK tech doing? Despite appearances, actually pretty well…
  10. 10. It feels like blue skies for startups
  11. 11. But we need to look outwards and push for way more diversity to really grow
  12. 12. We know 7% of small companies create >50% of new jobs .
  13. 13. We need more jobs, we need the right jobs - we need to change how we think about labour markets
  14. 14. We have too many elephants, many past their prime

  20. 20. UK is surprisingly well positioned to succeed

  22. 22. And it’s just getting started
  23. 23. London is increasingly Sand Hill Rd for EMEA
  24. 24. To create $50bn unicorns, we need to be the best place in the world for Zebras
  25. 25. Our mindset needs to be geared for a new world
  26. 26. We used to know a lot about India & China
  27. 27. We definitely know all a lot about the US
  28. 28. We used to know a lot about Nigeria
  29. 29. We have our 1st major chance for 150 years to impact society at scale
  30. 30. So let’s not be afraid of the dark
  31. 31. Aim high and shoot for the moon
