March 1, 2013 Re: Product Transparency and Chemicals of Concern Disclosure Dear Product Manufacturer: Cannon Design is committed to an informed, mindful, and creative design practice delivering quality buildings to our clients and our communities. To state the obvious, the materials, products and systems we select and specify are central to our buildings ... it is literally what they are made of. Selecting products and Chicago materials is complex and balances many factors. It is increasingly important that Cannon Design purposefully address issues of environmental and human health in Baltimore our work. Mumbai 1. March 1, 2013 - Issue this strategy letter requesting that Health Product New York Declarations (HPDs) for products used in our buildings be publicly provided. Phoenix 2. January 1, 2014 - Manufacturers meeting one of the following criteria will be St. Louis allowed to promote their product or offer educational sessions within the San Francisco Cannon Design Chicago office: Shanghai a. An HPD is publicly available for each of the manufacturers products. Toronto b. A plan which indicates a date before 12/31/14 in which an HPD for each Vancouver of the manufacturers products will be made publicly available. Victoria 3. January 1, 2015 - Only products with product content transparency will be Washington DC allowed in our library and selected for inclusion on projects. Our purpose is transparency to enable our project teams to make informed health- minded design decisions.
