  23. 23. <ul><li>Wine Resort was oppened in 2007, after a few years of reconstruction. </li></ul><ul><li>Hotel, spa and restaurant are located inside the winery, as a part of it. </li></ul><ul><li>Everywhere wine, vinyeards and Montserrat mountain are present. </li></ul>

Why we decided to do it? <ul><li>4 main reasons </li></ul><ul><li>High competition in the wine market, it made difficult to positionate a new brand. </li></ul><ul><li>We were starting to export our wines, and wanted to do something different, more orientated to the international market. </li></ul><ul><li>Countryhouse was needing a reconstruction. </li></ul><ul><li>Third generation was starting to assume the management. </li></ul>

Our customers <ul><li>WINE TOURISM </li></ul><ul><li>National: people form Catalonia and the rest of Spain, they mainly come to spend a weekend, by their own or because someone gave them a present. They celebrate weddings and family events. </li></ul><ul><li>International: from USA, Canadá, England, Germany, and other countries, they usually come through SLH. </li></ul>

Where is the key for success <ul><li>Very good management, starting from the experience in the hospitality market. </li></ul><ul><li>Offering something different. </li></ul><ul><li>High quality service for a reasonable price. </li></ul><ul><li>Keep on inovating. </li></ul><ul><li>Not every winery is prepared to have a restaurant, hotel, or spa. </li></ul>
  34. 34. <ul><li>And a lot of PATIENCE!!! </li></ul><ul><li>We are not Nappa Valley, where many people was passing through before wineries opened their doors. </li></ul><ul><li>But we have a lot of potential, as Spain has good clima, ancient history, very good gastronomy and wines. </li></ul><ul><li>And there is a growing interest for Wine Tourism all over the world. </li></ul><ul><li>In the case of Penedés, Barcelona must be the pole of attraction. </li></ul>
