    3. 3. About Me… Passion is my motivation and I am Passionate about many things * Teaching has been a passion ever since
    4. 4. My Philosophy of Teaching I have a Liberal Studies Background from university which basically means I took a variety of courses until they gave me a degree. I have many interests and believe in integration to tie all these interests together. My philosophy stems from this background. “Students will not learn in order to get a job but to live a good life. My students will learn in a variety of ways to accommodate their different styles of learning and through an integration of subjects instead of splitting them up into categories students will learn to find knowledge tied together in everything they do

Education Graduated from Woodlands Secondary School in Nanaimo BC * Noteworthy achievements: English 12 Honours Post Secondary: Bachelor of Arts Degree Major in Liberal Studies and Minor in English * Noteworthy Achievements: Eclectic collection of courses over 5 years of art, science, philosophy, english, astronomy, math and many more
    6. 6. Field Experience Currently a student teacher placed in Rutherford Elementary School in a grade 5/6 split class

A Student Centred Perspective Students in my class Learn in a variety of ways to accomodate their unique learning styles * We utilize technology where appropriate and publish work to our classroom website * we do hands on learning instead of just reading * Students also use photography/ photos and powerpoint to show what they have learned
