Background of Company <ul><li>The Founder of Wal-Mart is Sam Walton. </li></ul><ul><li>It was founded on July 2, 1962, in Rogers, Arkansas, it started out as a Ben Franklin franchise(a big store chain in Arkansas at the time), but Sam Walton named it, “Walton’s Five and Dime”, which became Wal-Mart. </li></ul>

Facts about the company <ul><li>Only average pay of $8 an hour with no health care and benefit pension. </li></ul><ul><li>It’s also the largest corporation and private employer in the world. </li></ul><ul><li>Wal-Mart was sued 4,581 times in 2000, which is about once every 2 hours. </li></ul><ul><li>Wal-Mart has more than 3,000 stores in the U.S </li></ul>
