Design Thinking - Website Prototype

  1. 1. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype Pedro Ivo, a newly graduated Electrical Engineer, needs a way to search for job opportunities that value his hard work through college, because investing years in a school that is irrelevant to your career doesn't encourage young people to study hard and find knowledge. PROBLEM statement:
  2. 2. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype A website that follows the students all throughout college with their grades and other skill assessments and, when they graduate, it becomes a life and skill proficiency diploma. my IDEA:
  3. 3. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype The website’s mission is to follow the student / new professional during their entire academic life, their grades, peers’ and professors’ opinions about their behavior and virtues and other skills that would be tested by the plataform, like enthusiasm, self- motivation, knowledge of foreign languages, spirit, and others. Hiring companies could also develop specific “Skill Sets” inside the website. Those “Skill Sets” would be co-created by the plataform and the company. It would then become available for the students / new professionals that would be able to take an online course on that Skill Set and then assess their knowledge inside the plataform in a test developed by the hiring company and the website’s specialized professionals. The main goal is to develop a tool that connects companies and students / new professionals while evaluating these students / new professionals in a holistic way, so that neither networking skills nor school grades or any other single characteristic would be the determinant asset evaluated during the process of applying for a new job. idea PROTOTYPE:

  13. 13. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype what worked? questions: ideas: what could be improved?
  14. 14. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype what worked? questions: ideas: what could be improved? Clear wireframe. User Centered Good Concept, solves the problem. Helpful for students without a network. It’s a LinkedIN for students.
  15. 15. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype what worked? questions: ideas: what could be improved? Is it legal for professors to submit student’s grades? What would the professors’ interface be like? How is it different from LinkedIN? Can teachers apply to job offers inside the plataform? How would you avoid fake profiles? Clear wireframe. User Centered Good Concept, solves the problem. Helpful for students without a network. It’s a LinkedIN for students.
  16. 16. Camila Gadelha | Design Thinking Prototype what worked? questions: ideas: what could be improved? A chat windown for employers and students. The prototype could have more screen examples. Examples of Skill Tests, like personality quizzes. Other language choices. Professional tips with videos. Is it legal for professors to submit student’s grades? Develop Partnerships with Colleges and HR Firms. Could be used for FreeLance jobs. Start with just one school and a few companies. A chat windown for employers and students.
