Declaration of Independence Author <ul><li>Thomas Jefferson was from Virginia. </li></ul><ul><li>The Declaration contained no original ideas, but was instead a statement of sentiments widely shared by supporters of the American Revolution. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1768 Thomas Jefferson started the construction of Monticello, a neoclassical mansion. At age 29 Jefferson married the 23-year-old widow Martha Wayles Skelton. </li></ul>

Pursuit of Happiness Means <ul><li>The phase Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness came from Virginia Convention of Delegates. </li></ul><ul><li>Europeans it has suggested the core claim—or delusion—of American exceptionalism. </li></ul><ul><li>To cross-racial or gay couples bringing lawsuits in court, it has meant, or included, the right to marry. </li></ul><ul><li>For many Americans, means no more than the pursuit of wealth and status as embodied in a McMansion, a Lexus, and membership in a country club. </li></ul>

  8. 8. If I Ran For President <ul><li>I think it is important to fix the money problems, so our economy will be better for our future. </li></ul>

My Most Important Individual Right <ul><li>The first amendment is important to me because everyone should get respect no matter what. </li></ul><ul><li>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Citizens Responsibilities Are <ul><li>Citizens responsibilities are to help my the United States a better place. </li></ul><ul><li>Help keep our community clean. </li></ul><ul><li>Also work together on just making the world a better place. </li></ul>
  11. 11. What We Can Do To Make The World A Better place…. <ul><li>People should help others no matter what religion or gender they are. </li></ul><ul><li>We should also work together to make the world a better & cleaner environment for our family’s & also for ourselves. </li></ul>
  12. 12. My Future <ul><li>I see myself in five years, moved out my parents house & also working as a nurse. </li></ul><ul><li>I’m going to get there by finishing high school & go to college. </li></ul>
