TALK TO SOMEONETalk to a trusted adult, parent or teacher. Justlet someone know what is going on, don’t keepit all bottled up inside. If you wait to tellsomeone, the situation could escalate quickly.
IGNORE THE BULLYBullies thrive off of a response from a victim.If you leave the situation alone, most bullies willgive up on bothering you. Don’t try to win out inan online chat battle. Emotions aremisunderstood, and often the situationworsens!
SAVE THE EVIDENCEThis is very important when trying to stop acyber bully. There must be proof that they weredoing something wrong. Print out the posts andevidence and show them to a trusted adult.
NEVER PASS ALONG MESSAGES FROM BULLIESIf you receive something hurtful aboutsomeone else. DELETE IT. Let yourfriends know that you don’t thinkcyberbullying is cool and you wantnothing to do with it. Start a movement,and let everyone know that putting downsomeone is not a means to popularityand prestige. It’s just cruel and mean.
