  2. 2. •This year, these two householdnames teamed up to give their fanssomething new, and that was the birthof Watch the Throne.•This concert has been advertised onradio stations and blog sitesworldwide, and Toronto’s very ownflow 93.5 had a contest where peoplephoned in to win a pair of tickets tothe show and entered into a grandprize draw; a $1000 shopping spreewith a Rocawear stylist.•The concert took place at the AirCanada Center and they advertisedthe event on their homepage as well,with links to buy tickets to attend theshow.
  3. 3.  The Richmond Hill Center for Performing Arts presents The Nutcracker! The play will be coming to the stage December 15, 2011 at 2pm. The name speaks for itself, but this performance will be featuring some new talent. The play is being advertised on yorkscene and Victoria Ballet Academy. These sites provide information about the ballet, the dancers involved, as well as information about the ballet company from which the ballet dancers come from.
  4. 4.  Took place Wednesday November 23, 2011 at the Seneca Markham Campus The students in the Events Marketing Management (EMM) program hosted the event at their campus for all Seneca students. The Stair Climb, which started last year works together with the United Way York Region to help raise awareness about United Way and to also raise money to help those attached to the United Way.

  6. 6.  From January 27-February 9, 2012 you are invited to visit some of the cities finest restaurants and set your taste buds ablaze with some delicious mouth watering meals. Winterlicious and Summerlicious are two popular events that happen in the two most extreme seasons Besides the food and restaurants speaking for themselves, word of mouth is just one form of promotion for Winter/Summerlicious. They have an active facebook and twitter account where they can post different venues and deals for those following them to try or choose as their stop for the evening, and it is also advertised on the City of Toronto website.

One of Shakespeare’smost beautiful playsabout star crossedlovers is coming to thestage at the FourSeasons Center forPerforming Arts.The play is running fromNovember 20-November27th, 2011 and isfeaturing performersfrom the National Balletof Canada.You could seeadvertisements throughThe Toronto Star as wellon the website for TheNational Ballet ofCanada.

The Santa Claus parade, which has been an annual event since 1905, had familiesbraving the cold weather to catch a glimpse of more than 25 different-themed floats,22 bands, 100 celebrity clowns, and of course, Santa!The Santa Claus parade has been such a successful event and growing every year.They publicize the parade through different media outlets like The Toronto Starand facebook, as well as seeing it advertised on televison.The media has helped play a big part in the popularity of the parade as well as getpeople excited about the new bigger and better floats, and the special surprises thatyou see along the way.

The Town of Aurora is keeping their residents busy this festiveseason, making sure there is never a dull moment.The 7th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place December7th, 2011 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Town Hall Courtyard.It promises to be an exciting evening filled with caroling, hanginga decoration on the tree, and story time with Mrs. Claus. At theend of the evening there is the play “The Grinch that StoleChristmas” presented by Canadian Childrens Theatre Co. inCouncil Chambers.

Instead of watchingjolly ol’ Saint Nickarrive mid-afternoon,you will be waiting forthe man in redunderneath the stars!The Town of Aurorawill be having theirSanta Claus Parade onSaturday November26, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm.Gather the family,dress up with yourhats, scarves andgloves and join theparade that headssouth along YongeStreet from Orchard
