  4. 4. Artist PracticeAn artist’s practice refers to both the conceptual andmaking processes of an artwork. It examines how the artistdevelops ideas, concepts and themes through the influenceof their global and personal world and other artists andtheir movements. Artists refine ideas and develop arecognisable style through the treatment of media toensure that their ideas are presented successfully. Althoughartists aim to experiment and challenge theiraudiences, the way in which concepts are conveyed mustbe reflective of the society and world of that time in orderfor all people to be able to relate to the artwork. Thiscomes with the experiment of different media, styles andtechnique and also the use of visual qualities andrelationships.
