Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington saw heavy snowfall in July 2008. Over 12 feet of snow accumulated at Paradise, the highest snowfall ever recorded there in July. The snowstorms caused road and facilities closures within the park due to dangerous conditions from snow and falling debris.
