  1. 1. I am Alyssa Lea I am giving this presentation about-How to Update BIOS on a Dell Laptop without a Charged Battery?
  2. 2. If the charger of your Dell laptop is not charging the battery of your device, then it might be an issue with your laptop that your device is not recognizing the charger. To fix this problem, you have to update your BIOS settings and luckily you can perform this action even if the battery of your device is below 10% but not below than this; otherwise, it will show you an error message.
  3. 3. So if you want to update the BIOS settings of your laptop, then you have to follow few simple steps provided by the Dell Tech Support Australia team. First of all, you have to download the update and save it to your desktop to easily retrieve it. Then open the Start menu located on the bottom of your main desktop screen and then select All Programs, then Accessories and navigate for Command prompt. After finding it, right-click on it and click on Run as Administrator option.
  4. 4. Then on the command prompt, type ‘C:UsersUsers name’> cd desktop’. There should a gap between cd Desktop. Then press enter key and you will be directed to ‘C:UsersUsers name’desktop>’. Then type in the last part of BIOS update file name i.e. ‘D620_A10.EXE’ after ‘C:UsersUsers name’desktop>’ command. It will appear like this ‘C:UsersUsers name’desktop> D620_A10.EXE’ in the command prompt. After that type ‘forceit’ after the command which will look like this C:UsersUsers name’desktop> D620_A10.EXE /forceit’. There should be a gap between exe and forceit. After that, press enter key to complete the process.
