  3. 3. <ul><li>The original rules for baseball were created by a man named Alexander Cartwright in 1845. Most of the original rules are still used today. </li></ul>http://homepages.rpi.edu/~fiscap/history_files/history1.htm
  4. 4. <ul><li>The very first recorded baseball game was in 1846. It was played at Hoboken, New Jersey and the teams that played were the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of New York City lost to the New York baseball club. </li></ul>

  6. 6. <ul><li>In 1869 The Cincinnati Red Stockings began paying the best players to play on their team so they ended up being undefeated. Word got out and everyone started paying their players. </li></ul>
