The Weight Dilemma

 1. 1. Bruni Brewin JP
W: www.bbbenefits.com.au
E: brunibrewin@bbbenefits.com.au
P: +61 02 46255546
M: 0407 275 329
The Weight Dilemma
www.bbbenefits.com.au
2. 2. Why Is Weight A Dilemma?
In a study involving 33 obese patients with a mass body index of 40, Swiss researchers found that through using a program that went beyond the standard obesity treatment approaches of a diet and exercise, more than half of these obese patients maintained a 10 kg weight reduction and overall 70% succeeded in avoiding further weight gain after five years.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
3. 3. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
Whilst many programs are successful in getting people to lose weight, long-term success rates are poor, with most dieters regaining their initial weight loss within a year. Very few – perhaps 5% - manage to keep the weight off in the long term.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
4. 4. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
However, this study that included workshops that addressed issues such as identifying the triggers for bingeing, reconnecting with the body, tuning in to hunger and fullness signals and expressing emotions, plus follow up sessions that included weighing and basic counseling found…
www.bbbenefits.com.au
5. 5. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
at the end of the five years, only 30% of the patients had regained weight, a total of 15% weighed about the same, and 55% had lost more weight, on average 10 kg in total. No diet drugs or gastric band surgery were used in the program.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
6. 6. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
The difference with hypnotherapy is that I have found that it doesn’t have to take many workshops to create changes to release weight. There are many people who have had anxieties, insomnia, gambling and alcohol addictions and like weight addiction, it can be released in a short time frame…
www.bbbenefits.com.au
7. 7. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
Hypnosis can give you a full up feeling. (Without having to pretend that you are undergoing a gastric banding operation which only works for some people) Hypnosis can discourage you from eating too much of a good thing…
www.bbbenefits.com.au
8. 8. Why Is Weight A Dilemma cont...
or even make that food taste bad so you don’t want it anymore.
Hypnosis can get you to exercise while you sleep, and make minor adjustments that don’t require you to go on a ‘diet’ that doesn’t work.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
9. 9. What to know....
Australia has an obesity problem, and if you feel that you are beginning to fit into that problem, it would benefit your health to take care of that now before the inevitable health problems of weight, become a problem for you.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
10. 10. HABIT
Somewhere...
Someplace...
Sometime...
You made a decision to be where you are today.
Only you have the power to change that.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
11. 11. Don’t Make Excuses
Rulle No. 1
Do Not Make Excuses
I can’t help myself...
Only since I had the baby...
Only since Menopause...
I eat when I am bored...
I eat when I am upset...
I like sweet things...
If only I could stop Alcohol...
YOUR CHOICE Isn’t it?
or has someone
got a gun at
your head?
www.bbbenefits.com.au
12. 12. You Can’t Lie to Yourself
Rule No. 2
Don’t Lie to Yourself
IN A PERFECT WORLD
We could keep doing the same things that don’t work and get different results.
But it can be doing things OUR WAY – THE EASY WAY
Not what somebody else thinks you should do.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
13. 13. Love Yourself as You Are
Rule No. 3
Love Yourself just as you are until you make the changes you are going to make happen.
We have to start with who we are. We are OK, we just want to be more than OK.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
14. 14. Don’t Kid Yourself
Rule No. 4
Getting Older and Ageing is Not an Option –
Growing Older Gracefully Is.
Beauty Fades –
Brains Last Forever
1992
2011
www.bbbenefits.com.au
15. 15. Remove Negative Emotion
Rule No. 5
Remove Negative Emotion
From your Mind.
Depression...
Sadness...
Guilt...
Shame...
Anger...
Helplessness...
Frustration...
Fear... etc.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
16. 16. Making sense...
Don’t go for the jazzy stuff. If you have been to weightwatchers, Jenny Craig, Exercise Gyms or tried similar methods that seem to have worked but you have left, put on more weight and go back again. Forget it! You are using “Willpower”. Willpower is short-lived and becomes harder to do.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
17. 17. Making sense...
If you understand that your conscious mind which uses rational thinking, analytical thinking and willpower, and is about 10% of your mind – and your subconscious mind that houses all your past memories, habits, strategies, impulses, feelings, emotions, wants, dislikes etc. is 90% of your mind –
www.bbbenefits.com.au
18. 18. Making sense...
who do you think will win the war if there is a disagreement between the two minds?
Conscious: No! We won’t eat hamburgers and chips, you know we want to lose weight. We will have that salad sandwich instead.
Sub-conscious: I’m hungry and don’t want to eat rabbit food. And if I’m going to blow it, might as well have a piece of cake as well. Let’s add a soft drink while we are at it. We can start our diet tomorrow.
And so it goes on...
www.bbbenefits.com.au
19. 19. Making sense...
So the trick is to do things differently, isn’t it? Remember that there is no such thing as failure, there is only feedback that tells you if things are working or not working. If they are not working, then remember that doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome, simply doesn’t work.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
20. 20. Making sense...
But know that you are not alone. According to the Access Economics Report, $3.7 billion were the financial costs of obesity, and on top of that there are about another $17 billion which were the loss of healthy life caused by obesity.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
21. 21. Making sense...
That’s because obesity is linked to cardiovascular diseases, to diabetes type two, and also to osteoarthritis, high blood pressure and a number of cancers.
http://awlss.com.au/featured/obesity-epidemic-costing-australia-3-billion-a-year/
www.bbbenefits.com.au
22. 22. Can Hypnosis Help?
Can Hypnosis help – if so how?
Your subconscious is very powerful.
It can put in a full-up feeling when you have had enough to eat.
It can exercise for you while you sleep.
It can remove craving for unhealthy foods. (Just like it can remove craving for cigarettes.)
www.bbbenefits.com.au
23. 23. Can Hypnosis Help?
It can increase your metabolism so that you burn off more calories.
It can change your mind to make it a habit to eat normally – just like other people do that don’t have a weight problem.
Without feeling that you are denying yourself or having to use willpower.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
24. 24. What can you do?
My website will show you more about me, hypnotherapy, weight and what we can do.
The question is; “How Can I Help You?”
If you go to my website; www.bbbenefits.com.au
You can take advantage of the special 3-session weight release price (which includes a CD)
and achieve your goals in the
minimum of time and effort.
www.bbbenefits.com.au
