  2. 2. Description<br />The Brolga is a large grey crane with a featherless red head and a grey crown. Their legs are grey and there is a black spot under their chin. Females are shorter than males. Their height varies between 100-125 cm.<br />
  3. 3. Habitat<br />Brolgas are found in tropical northern Australia south Australia and Western Australia. They live in open wet lands, grassy plains, mud flats, crop lands and creeks.<br />
  4. 4. Diet<br />Brolgas are omnivores but usually eat tubers and some insects, crops, molluscs , amphibians and mice.<br />
  5. 5. Breeding<br />Brolgas mate for life. They dance leap, flap their wing and squawk loudly. When the female lays the eggs , Both male and female sit on the eggs.<br />
