Hello again and welcome to Step 3. My name is Steve Haycock and I’ll be your host for the next few minutes. First of all, I want to say thank you for your time and attention. Your time is the most valuable thing you have and I take the responsibility of sharing this project with you very seriously. To begin with I’m going to share a little about my story. You or someone you know just might benefit from seeing what’s possible for a pretty ordinary guy. As you can see I did get lucky and convinced a beautiful woman to be my wife. Because of her we have four pretty great kids. I started my first business at the age of 12. I was taught to work hard but I also learned to work smart. During college I started my own company and had several employees. When I graduated my wife was pregnant with our first child and so I chose the corporate life because of the security of a steady paycheck and insurance. I worked hard and climbed the corporate ladder and did very well financially but soon found out that the word security just didn’t apply. I was the victim of corporate downsizing 3 times. After the 3 rd time I made a decision. It’s probably a decision that you have either considered or have already made yourself. I knew that somehow, someway I had to control my future. It was then that I began searching for the answer. What I’m about to share with you is what I found.
You may recognize this man. His name is Zig Ziglar. Zig is famous for saying, “You can have everything you want in life if you’ll just help enough other people get what they want.” So ask yourself this: Do you have everything that you want in life? If your answer is no then it’s probably because you just haven’t helped enough people get what they want.
And what is it that most people want right now? Well, in today’s economy many people are struggling just to make ends meet. What would an extra $500 a month do for your lifestyle? Would you be able to afford that new car? How about taking the family on that trip to Disneyland you’ve been promising for years? What about being able just to make your house payment? In 2008 the US government did a study and found that 91% of those that had suffered a home foreclosure that year would have been able to save their house if they had just an extra $500 a month.
So, how do you get an extra $500 a month. The two most common ways are either to get a 2 nd job or to start a home based business. Let’s examine what each option will do for you. In a Woman’s Day article a few years ago the author showed the effects that getting a 2 nd job had on a specific couple. He was earning $40,000 a year but they had more month than money. That may sound familiar. His wife got a job that paid $15,000 a year. When all of the costs of that 2 nd job were analyzed her take home pay was a meager $1,156. After taxes, social security, commuting, child care, eating out, the new wardrobe and other expenses there just wasn’t much left over to pay the bills. If this same family would have started a home based business, because of all of the tax advantages it would have been possible for them to keep the entire $15,000. Some people think that starting a home based business is a big risk. Entreprenuer Magazine found that 95% of home based businesses succeed in their first year and achieve an average income of over $50,000 with many earning much more.
I’m not a tax professional so I’m not going to go into much detail about taxes. You really should consult a tax professional that specializes in home based businesses. All I will say is this. If you have an intent to make a profit and keep good records you should be able to dramatically increase the amount of money you get to keep each year. Remember, it’s not how much you make but how much you keep that counts. Most people that operate a home based business can legitimately write off expenses such as your car, your vacations, paying your kids, your health care and the list goes on and on. Most people will make the extra $500 a month just by starting a home based business, even before a dollar of profit is earned. There are strategies we teach that also make it possible to see those savings immediately without having to wait until the end of the year when you do your taxes. That may be a question you’ll want to write down for Step #4.
Now that we realize starting a home based business makes good sense, what do we look for. The most ideal home based business includes the following: First, it shouldn’t cost much to get started. Putting your life savings at risk is not wise. Also, part time is best. 92% of those that start home based businesses do it part time. It’s a great way to get tax savings and earn a little extra. The next two you already learned about in Step 2. Residual income and leverage. Lastly, having a product or service that caters to the Baby Boomer generation is a wise business decision. Here’s why. The baby boomers control 68% of the wealth in our country. What are the boomers worried about at this stage of their life? The answer is health and their finances If you have a product or service that provides a solution for how they feel or how much money they have in their bank account, you will do well.
Now that we know about the tax benefits of a home based business and what to look for, how do we choose which business is for us. First, we have to be careful because not all companies are created equal. As you look at these two logo’s, ask yourself what do they have in common. Well, they both make and sell sandwiches. So does that mean they both have the same growth and balance sheet? Unfortunately no. For many years Subway has dominated their market and is commonly the fastest growing franchise in the world while Quizno’s, although they have a high quality product, is currently closing more stores than they are opening. You not only have to know what to look for you also need to do your due diligence and have the courage to ask the tough questions.
You don’t just need to ask the tough questions, you need to ask the tough questions to the people that have the right answers. You may or may not know this man. To find out who he is go to www.dougwead.com. If you’re familiar with Doug Wead you know him as a presidential historian, philanthropist, a New York Times best selling author and advisor to two presidents. He co-founded the Mercy Corps and the International Charity Awards. The business opportunity that I will be explaining to you today is a company called Xango. It’s a 7 year old company based in Lehi, UT that has been breaking growth records since its inception in 2002. The reason I bring up Doug Wead when explaining this specific business opportunity is because he is an icon in the home-based business arena. He has been traveling around the world for over 30 years speaking to and training people involved in home based businesses. In those years he has been exposed to all of the top companies in the world. Recently Doug made a business decision to sever all ties with other business ventures and join forces with Xango. When asked why he made the decision to partner with Xango he stated, “You can make more money in less time with fewer people and less work than in any other network marketing company.” If anyone should know it would be Doug.
The single most important thing you’ll want to do as you take a close look at Xango is to get to know these 6 men. They are the founders of Xango. Who they are and what they stand for can be found on Xango’s website under the company section. A company is only as strong as the integrity and know how of those making decisions and providing vision. The underlying theme as you get to know what these men stand for is “servant leadership”.
Aside from the founders, what makes Xango unique? One of the largest factors is a true 50/50 partnership between the corporation and the field of distributors around the world. With Xango there is no breakage. Breakage is that dirty little secret in the industry where companies say they pay “up to” a certain amount but the actual payout is much, much less due to breakage. Breakage is where monies that could be paid out but due to lack of qualification by a distributor the money goes back to the company. With Xango, if a distributor is not eligible to earn a specific amount, the money rolls upline in what’s called dynamic compression until it reaches the next qualified distributor. It does not go back to the company. An industry consultant that had reviewed dozens of companies during the last decade found that a normal payout for most companies was around 20%. What would you rather get paid? 20% or 50%? In addition, Xango has a seamless global compensation plan. This means that regardless of where in the world someone orders product, if they are in your organization, you get paid. You don’t have to start as a brand new distributor in each country you do business.
The Xango story is based on a fruit grown in southeast Asia called a mangosteen. Rather than go into too much detail into the mangosteen fruit and the health properties found in it, go to www.pubmed.com and type in the words mangosteen or xanthones. What you’ll find is over 1,800 articles about the fruit. They will explain what it is, what it does, and why it’s so good for the body.
Dr. OZ is not only a regular guest on the Oprah show, he now has his own syndicated talk show. Recently he shared with viewers the Top 5 Super Foods and mangosteen was on the list. Xango was the category creator for mangosteen juice 7 years ago. Because of Xango, the mangosteen fruit is fast becoming a household word. Wouldn’t it be nice to be a part of something that everyone is hearing about but not many people have yet.
Here is the line of Xango products. The top 3 are all category creators. As an example, when you need to blow your nose you generally ask for a Kleenex, not a tissue. A child’s scraped knee gets a Band-Aid, not an adhesive bandage. These and many other products were the first to market in a specific category, hence they are considered category creators. The flagship product for Xango is the Xango juice in the center. For the first 5 years this was the only product Xango offered. Xango juice is a functional health beverage made from the whole fruit of the mangosteen. As you look at all of the health juices that are on the market today it’s easy to get confused. They are all good for you and loaded with anti-oxidants. Xango is too. What sets Xango apart is that it is also a natural anti-inflammatory. Since chronic inflammation is at the root of most diseases, Xango is unique. The second category creator is Glimpse Intuitive Skin Care. It is the first all green, non-toxic skin care which uses cold processing and bio-fermentation to be not only safe but a very effective high performance skin care. Xango’s most recent category creator is Eleviv. Created by Dr. Shawn Talbott, a world renowned medical professional, sports nutritionist, and elite athlete himself; this formula is the first all natural product in the category of VIGOR. For those people that are tired, stressed and depressed, Eleviv restores metabolic balance, increases mental acuity and promotes emotional well being. 3Sixty5 is a daily supplement formulated specifically for both men and women that contains whole food vitamins, essential oils like CoQ10 and are chelated for maximum absorption. To get the equivalent supply of supplements from GNC would cost upwards of $300 a month. Next is pericarp oil. It is the most concentrated form of the xanthones found in the rind of the mangosteen fruit by using bio-fermentation. Since our skin is the bodies largest organ it doesn’t make much sense to put nature’s best efforts on the inside but put toxic chemicals on the outside that are found in our soaps, lotions and shampoos. Xango created Juni, a safe and non toxic personal care regimen that includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a bath bar. The final product is the Xango meal pack. If you’ve ever dreamed of making a difference in the world the meal pack is the answer. It is a product that is not intended to be shipped to your door, but rather sent to the millions of malnourished people around the globe. Six million children die every year from starvation. That’s more than all major diseases combined. The severely malnourished cannot assimilate solid foods. This porridge mix is designed for those on the brink of starvation. It safely provides all of the essential nutrition and brings the body back to a state of being able to accept solid foods. Through the years there are many companies that have achieved great financial success with mediocre products. With Xango we have the best of both worlds. Not only is it a great business but we have the privilege of bringing world class products to the marketplace. Some people choose to focus exclusively on one or two of the products as a method of building their business while others offer the full gamut of products. Since its your business the choice is yours. You’re in business for yourself but not by yourself.
At this point most people are anxious to find out how to get paid. For a complete diagram of the Xango compensation plan go to www.xango.com. All you really need to know is that 5x5x5=rich. I will explain that in minute. For now I will attempt to explain in simple terms the most common aspects of the compensation plan. While there are 4 ways to get paid with Xango I’ll just cover the two most common. First is what’s called Powerstart, paid weekly and the next is unilevel, paid monthly. Powerstart was designed to enable you to get your own product free as quickly as possible. You earn up to 30% of the initial order of someone you personally sponsor and 15% on anyone that they sponsor. Let me use myself as an example. When I got started with Xango back in 2005 we only had the Xango juice. I ordered 2 cases of product and the total of my order including tax, shipping and my initial $35 distributor fee was about $265. Over the next couple of days I happened to mention Xango to 4 people I knew that had some health challenges. Between the four of them they ordered $800 of product on their initial order. I earned 30% of those orders and the next week received a check from Xango for $240. My product virtually became free in 4 days and it’s been free for me ever since…plus a little extra. Each order placed after the initial order is paid out as unilevel. Unilevel is paid down 9 levels and as you can see averages about 5%. Since most distributors have their monthly orders on ADP (Automatic Delivery Program) the commissions earned are residual each and every month. The average distributor orders $150 worth of product each month. Since the average payout is 5% we know that for every person ordering each month we earn about $7.50. So, to earn an extra $500 a month all we need is 67 people ordering product each month. For $1,000 we need 133. When you understand the power of duplication and know that 5x5x5 equals rich then you know that you don’t have to find 67 or 133 or 1000 distributors. All you need to do is find 5. Find 5, show them how to find 5 and the leverage begins.
While there is much more that we could share with you today you now know enough basic information to put yourself in one of these categories. The first is the type of person that wants an extra $500 a month and sees an opportunity with this project we are working on. The next person is someone where the timing is not right for them right now. Next we have the group that really like the products and want to be a consumer. But rather than buy at retail they are interested in buying wholesale directly from the company. I hope you don’t fall into the next category. If so, you’ll graduate from the school of hard knocks. This next category are people like me. People that know everything and are not very teachable. I saw the big picture immediately when I was introduced to Xango but I thought I knew better than my coaches and mentors. I tried doing it “my way” for a very long time. Thankfully, they saw in me someone willing to do what it takes to succeed so they were patient with me and finally helped me realize that in order for me to get everything I want all I need to do is help enough other people get what they want. The last person is very rare. This is a visionary. Someone that sees the big picture and realizes Xango is the right vehicle to take them there. They know exactly what they have their hands on and are ready to hit the ground running.
Four out of the Five previous categories require knowing how to get started. With Xango it’s very simple. First you become a member. The membership is just $35. That enables you to buy wholesale from the company and makes you eligible to earn commissions on any products that are referred through you. You then decide what products to order as your initial order. Depending on your budget, interest level, and business plans you may want to start out just ordering enough specific products for yourself and your family. Now that we have a large product line many people are making an investment into their business by ordering all of the products so that they can be educated and become a “product of the product.” The next step is critical. It’s called ADP or Automatic Delivery Program. As you operate a home based business you need to have an intent to make a profit. Being on ADP is a key component of the compensation plan and provides evidence to the government that you have this intent. If you are just a wholesale buyer ADP allows the product that you use to be shipped at the same time each month without delay and without running out of product. The last step is to receive the training necessary to get started. As you have seen so far the4simplesteps.com is easy for anyone with a phone and computer to manage, even a few hours a week. It’s easy to join, easy to order and easy to get started.
Now it’s time for step 4. Just get back to the person that sent you this information and tell them 2 times in the next 48 hours where you have 30 minutes to get your questions answered. They will be scheduling a time with a company expert to answer all of your questions. Also, make sure to share with them which category you fall into and when you’d like to get started. Thanks again for your time and attention. I look forward to meeting you face to face and hearing your story. Go Xango!
