  8. 8. I ntroversion, i N tuition, T hinking, J udgment INTJs are one of the rarest of the 16 personality types, and account for about 1-4% of the population I – Introversion . I expend energy in social situations (whereas extraverts gain energy). I also have a tendency to prefer initial brainstorming or problem-solving by myself (or with my whiteboard) rather than in a group situation. N – Intuition . I’m more abstract than concrete. I see the big picture first rather than the details and I get excited about future possibilities rather than immediate realities. T – Thinking . I value objective criteria above personal preference. When making decisions I generally give more weight to logic than to social considerations. I desperately want people and ideas to make sense. J – Judgment . While I'm flexible, I like to have a plan.   11. 11. Left Brain/Right Brain I’m a Right Brain My thought process can appear quite illogical and confusing. The problem-solving techniques that I use involve free association, which is often very innovative and creative. The routes taken to arrive at my conclusions are completely opposite to what a left-brained person would be accustomed. I’m more right-brained than left-brained. Which means that I’m known as a creative thinker who uses feeling and intuition to gather information. I tend to retain information through the use of images and patterns. I’m able to visualize the &quot;whole&quot; picture first, and then work backwards to put the pieces together to create the &quot;whole&quot; picture.
  12. 12. Career Planning Quiz My Style (Score - Blue) My strengths are building long term relationships with others that are based on trust and respect. I am sensitive to the individual needs and concerns of others and respond with great understanding and intuition to emotionally difficult situations. I'm good at making complex decisions because I take the time to carefully evaluate the options so I make the best decision the first time. An additional strength of people with a blue style score is they often think about the future and put plans and strategies in place that are focused on long term goals. My Interests (Score - Yellow) I like activities that allow me to gather information and then analyze it. I like systems that are organized so that there is a process that governs all activity. People with yellow interests enjoy spending their time managing the details that enable people and organizations function seamlessly.

  14. 14. I believe that mistakes are part of life - and should be used as tool for growing. I take pride in minimizing errors but if one should happen - either directly by me or by a staff member under my supervision, I think it is necessary to take immediate responsibility, correct what can be corrected, and if apologies are in order, then by all means do so. Some people believe that owning up to an error is a weakness. I think that viewpoint misses the mark and they’re losing an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Pet Peeve
