  2. 2. Where did the periodic table come from?The periodic table was created by a Russian inventor namedDmitri Mendeleev.Chemists, Dmitri Mendeleev was born in 1834 and passed awayin 1907.Using the table, he predicted the properties of elements yet to bediscovered.
  3. 3. How is the periodic table organized?The periodic table is set in rows and columns. The rows arecalled period, where as the columns are called groups.
  4. 4. What are the relationships between each elements?All the elements have some sort ofrelation with one another.The alkali metals are located in thesame group.The alkaline earth metals are all alsolocated in the same group.
  5. 5. Element: NeonNeon is a chemical element with the symbolNe and an atomic number 10.Neon is in group 18 (noble gases) of theperiodic table.Neon is colorless and odorless.
  6. 6. Element: IronIron is a chemical element with the symbol Fe and an atomicnumber of 26.
  7. 7. Element: CopperCopper has an atomic number of 29.Out of all the metals, copper is one of the most likely to be foundin it’s native state.
