Dr. John Medina is an evolutionary biologist. He knows how the brain works. This is what led him to encourage others to destroy their current PowerPoint presentations and start over.

Inspired by his recent book, Brain Rules, BrainSlides.com helps people design effective slide presentations or redesign their existing ones. Created especially for teachers and students, BrainSlides encourage research-based teaching and design practices to improve classroom experiences.

Free information is available on the blog. You can inquire about design or consulting services via the contact form.

  • @joshroa This particular slidedeck isn't meant for angel investors or business proposals. I would design it differently for that situation. Since Brainslides is all about presentations for education, I design for a different audience.

Guy Kawasaki's ideas of 10-20-30 are pretty much exactly what Dr. Medina has to say about reducing text and using more visuals.

Also, keep in mind that even though I WANT to eat ice cream and cake all day doesn't mean it's best for me. Likewise, what potential investors WANT to see doesn't mean it's going to be the most impressive and convincing.

Thanks for your comment and checking out the slides.
