How it worksSAP Learning Solution, option for the extendedlearning community, supports key processes inthe learning environment from training plan-ning, preparation, and delivery to learner life-cycle management and payments andanalytics (see Figure 2 on the next page).It works like this.An administrator creates thelearning asset, whether it’s a course, a virtualclassroom, or an online test, and specifies ifit should be available to internal or externallearners. Next, the administrator creates aproduct catalog (for external learners), maps itto customers or countries, and can customizeit with settings like discounts and paymentoptions.The catalog is then published to thelearning portal.Users can access the catalog after registeringdirectly or through a learning manager (in aB2B scenario). Course offerings are offeredbased on the user’s profile. Learners or man-agers select the courses to attend, paymentinformation is captured, and confirmation issent to the learner.
