Berly’s London & Paris Museums

 1. 1. London & Paris Museums with Berly
Take a tour at the British Museum
Go to as many museums in London because they are free and amazing
See the Mona Lisain the Lourve.
Take an Audio Tour of the Lourve. You’ll get lost otherwise.
Go to D’Orsay. Just go! It’s filled with Monet, Degas, Rodin, Van Gogh, Gaugin, Manet. My favorite museum.
2. 2. British Museum
- Swedish Daler
(if this is your idea of money you’re in trouble)
Tate Modern – Pablo Picasso
(because Cubist Sculpture is way cooler than cubist painting)
3. 3. Tate Modern – Jackson Pollock
(They Dance!)
4. 4. National Gallery London– Da Vinci
(amazing even unfinished)
National Gallery London – Da Vinci
(because I got to see a 2nd version of this in Paris 3 days later!)
National Gallery London – Van Eyck
(in person you can see the reflection of a visitor in the mirror & the candle)
5. 5. Dali Museum – Salvador Dali – Alice in Wonderland Series
(Trippy Crazyness. Somehow I think my affinity for Dali was diminished after this museum, but I did discover new gems. Like this one. )
6. 6. Lourve – Victory at Samothrace
(my favorite work at the Lourveand my favorite sculpture! )
7. 7. Lourve – Vermeer – The Lacemaker
(my favorite Vermeer so far. Berly Factoid – I make pilgrimages to see Vermeers)
8. 8. Lourve – Mona Lisa
(Ok, here’s the thing I didn’t like this before. But something about this painting does not translate to print/digitalization. You have to see it in person. Maybe it’s the throng of people; maybe it’s the lighting but she’s captivating. It’s that damn smile. ; )
Lourve – Da Vinci
(Because I saw the another version of this in London 3 days earlier!)
9. 9. Lourve – Coronation of Napoleon – David
(It has an area of 654 feet!)
10. 10. D’Orsay – Starry Night over the Rhone – Van Gogh
Favorite Van Gogh & Favorite Painting. It glows and makes me happy.
