    2. 2. Swallowed Poisons Signs and Symptoms: Vomiting, sometimes including blood. Confusion or impaired consciousness. Pain or a burning sensation. Empty containers in the vicinity of the victum. Treatment: 1. Call 911 2. If the victim is conscious, ask what was swallowed so you can relay the information to the medical professionals. 3. Monitor the victim’s airway and breathing. Be prepared to perform rescue breathing or CPR, if necessary. 4. Do not induce vomiting. do not give the victim anything to eat or drink unless the emergancy operator tells you to do so.
    3. 3. Inhaled Poison Signs and Symptoms: Skin that is pale or bluish in color. Headache Noisy, distressed Breathing. Confusion Loss of consciousness Treatments: 1. Call 911 and report your observations. 2. Carefully survey the scene to be sure that the poisonous fumes are no longer present and that it is safe for you to approach the victim. 3. If the victim is conscious and it is safe for you to do so, help the vitim move into fresh air. monitor the victim untill help arrives. be prepared to perform rescue breathing or CPR, if needed. 4. If the victim is unconscious, begin CPR immediatly
    4. 4. Poisonous Snake Bite Signs and Symptoms: One or two distinct puncture wounds. Severe pain, redness, and swelling at the bite. Nausea and vomiting. Blurred vision. Increased salivation and sweating Labored breathing. Treatments: 1. Call 911 2. Gently wash the wound with clean running water. 3. Immobilize the affected area. 4. Minimize the victims movements. 5. Make sure the victim recieves mediacl assistance within 30 minutes of being bitten.
    5. 5. Heat Exhaustion Signs and Symptoms: Skin that is cool, moist, pale, ashen, or flushed. Headache, nausea, or dizziness. Weakness or exhaustion. Heavy sweating. Muscle cramps Treatments: 1. Help move the victim to a cool or shady location. 2. Loosen or remove any tight clothing. 3. If the victim is conscious and alert, give fluids to replace fluids lost in sweat. 4. Cool the victim’s body by wrapping it in water-soaked towels or by sponging or spraying cool water onto the victim. 5. Monitor the victim for signs of heat stroke or shock. be perpared to call 911, if necessary.
