 Sovaldi is used for the treatment of hepatitis C
virus (HCV) infection.
 Sovaldi (Sofosbuvir) -based regimens provide a
higher cure rate, fewer side effects.
 Sovaldi bottle contains 28 tablets at the strength
of 400mg.

Mechanism of Action
 Sofosbuvir Sovaldi 400mg drug is a direct-
acting antiviral agent and interferes straight with
the HCV lifecycle, restraining the viral
replication.
 It can be incorporated into HCV RNA by the
NS5B polymerase and acts as a chain
terminator.
 The drug is available for oral use in the form of
400mg tablets.

Dosage and Administration
 The recommended daily dose of sovaldi is one
tablet with or without food.
 It should be used in the combination of Ribavirin
or combination with Pegylated Interferon.
 Before Taking this tablet, strictly consult with
physicians.

Side Effects
 Some of the common side effects of Sovaldi is
Fatigue, Headache, Insomnia, Weakness,
fever, diarrhea and joint pain.
 Sovaldi may also cause severe depression and
suicidal ideation.
