  7. 7. Aluminium Casting My final project for Sculpture was to produce a aluminium sculpture. To achieve the final piece Styrofoam moulds were crafted and then set in sand boxes. Once at the right temperature molten aluminium was poured over the Styrofoam runners and left to cool. Lastly the sculptures needed to be filed backed and polished. And now I have two aluminium mushrooms that I made sitting on my windowsill.
