  • Be a thought leader in your industry or niche, ideas, vision
  • The first thing you need to do is secure brand. Knowem is a great resource to check the availability of your brand name. It can get overwhelming but focus on the most popular ones. It is sorted by categories, so for example for a musician that wants to extend his or her reach, they can focus on that niche.
  • These are the main ones to open and Linked In which is not in that word cloud. Don't get overwhelmed. You will probably be focusing on 2 or 3 to begin with. The point is to remember to reserve the brand.
  • Tell your story of how exotic car life started. The domain was reserved March, 2009 after my mom saw that I had a lot of great pictures on my hard drive. I wasn't interested in the blog. Instagram wasn't even in existence. I focused on Flickr and got a good following.  talk about Number of comments on each and average likes
  • Show home page of your Flickr account
  • Also show live how many groups you are involved in.
  • How many followers do they have now. This is an example of content curation which we will speak about later in the presentation. Large instagram accounts edit original images by other users and give credit to the owner. They found my picture on Flickr
  • 28 second video , 225K views
  • New business fitness trainer. Page under construction. Focusing primarily on Instagram. Splash page while getting content done.
  • Even though he only has 660 followers, there were 83 likes and various comments besides friends tagging other friends. It was a post with a specific call to action to hire him. and he got 1 new client out of that post. It could be an age thing of how many likes compared to amount of users.. Millennials are big users of Instagram. This is done on zero budget. (Motivate people again how important it is to get started in conversations in social media)
  • Content Management System. Other top ones are Drupal and Joomla. Wordpress is easier to use than Drupal and Joomla.
  • Easier than Wordpress but have limitations.
  • Great starter tools that are free to edit pictures and add text with nice fonts.
  • Don't infringe on anyone's copyright!
  • Economical video editing and video converter software and includes many other software like image editing, document converter like PDF to Word, audio editor and converter,
  • All tied to 1 Gmail account.
