WHAT’S CHANGED?Australian businesses have more of a presence in social media in2012, but this just seems to have driven up the amount of peoplethat want things from the businesses through social media. It wouldalso be crucial for marketers to reach the 24% of bloggers out therein order to enhance their brand. They also need to work on theirstrategies in driving users to their social media sites, as moreTwitter users don’t follow businesses. Although, more people seemto take notice of advertisements on social networks.More of an attempt to interact with users in the way they use socialmedia is needed. Businesses need to make more updates, postmore media, and prove to users that they are more like their “friend”than a business after their money.
  14. 14. PREDICTIONS…Social media is going to continue to grow over asthe years pass. More and more people areinteracting with the networks, and it is somethingnow that the mainstream media constantly pushes.It’s safe to say that the phenomena won’t be dyingdown any time soon.
  15. 15. With Facebook’s CEO having a base salary of $500,000 and beingworth $17.5 billion, it’s hard to comprehend the downfall of social media at any time in the near future.
