Billerica Partners for Education grant recipient Dawn Baniewicz-Press, a teacher at the Marshall Middle School in Billerica, Massachusetts shared details of her use of a Promethean Board with the Partners at our Annual Meeting in May 2012.

Using a Promethean Board• Allows students to be actively engaged in their learning.• Students are not only listening and observing activities, they are physically participating in the lessons. 2
Uses of a Promethean Board• Videos ~ Students are able to watch clips or entire videos.• Power Points ~ Teachers and students are able to display Power Point presentations on the Promethean Board.• Note taking ~ Notes can be premade and displayed on the Promethean Board. 3
Uses of a Promethean Board• Brainstorming ~ The Promethean Board allows students and teachers to brainstorm ideas and save the activity. It also allows teachers to provide every student with a copy of the activity. 5
Uses of a Promethean Board• Games ~ Students are able to play interactive educational games. Using special hand controls, Jeopardy games can reach new levels. Students are able to anonymously compete with each other. 6
