  5. 5. Obtaining information >- The job analystwhile collecting data should focus hisattention on the contents of the job and notthe personality of the job
  6. 6. Verification of information>-Itshould represent a sample ofgood ,poor and average doers.
  7. 7. ADVANTAGES>-The information obtained is morereliable.
  8. 8. Disadvantages.>- It is time consuming.>-professional and managerial jobsare more complicated to analyse andalso involves longer interviews.
  9. 9. CHECK LISTSimilar to the questionnaire , but are subjectivein nature.>- Includes only yes or no questions.>-can maintainas100 activities and job holders tick only thosethat are included in their jobs.
  10. 10. ADVANTAGESUses in large organisations thathave a large number of peopleassigned to one particular job.
  11. 11. DISADVANTAGESIT is costly.Not suitable for small organisations.
