    5. 5. I joined my first social network in 2003. *We didn’t call them social networks before 2003, my first social website was in 2000.
    6. 6. Along with 3 million other people.
    7. 7. I first blogged in the in the winter of 2004.
    8. 8. 4 million other people beat me to it.
    9. 9. I sent my first tweet in March of 2007
    10. 10. By then, 8 million others had already sent theirs.
    11. 11. Being first doesn’t matter.
    12. 12. Having a presence does.

    15. 15. The community already exists.
    16. 16. Are you a part of it?

    19. 19. But, I’m busy.
    20. 20. E-mail is the new blog.
    21. 21. Research is content.
    22. 22. One post can rule them all.
    23. 23. 2. Organize Your Influence.
    24. 24. List and be Listed.
    25. 25. Like and be Liked.
    26. 26. Make your network come to you.
    27. 27. 3. Collaborate with your Community.
    28. 28. Create the spaces you would like to inhabit.
    29. 29. Ask questions, then answer them together.
    30. 30. Start conversations. Tag Everything.
