    2. 2. About THE ATROCITIES ON ANIMALS The Animals who are forced to travel and perform with circuses lead miserable lives. Unlike human performers, animals do not choose to do tricks. Through the use of fear, pain and hunger, handlers force animals to do things they would never do in nature. When animals in circuses are not performing, they are kept chained or tethered or are confined to cages barely larger thr own bodies. When they become ill, they rarely receive proper veterinary care even .

    6. 6. Importance of wildlife 1. To maintain ecological balance of nature and maintain food chain and nature cycles. 2. It has economic value. Many wild plants provide useful substances like timber, paper, gums etc. And they also have wide applications in Ayurveda and other branches of medicine. Wild animals products are tusk, ivory, leather, honey etc. 3. Most important contribution of wild life for human progress is availability of large genepool for the scientists to carry breeding programmes in agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery. 4. Wild life provides aesthetic value to man. 5. Wild life of a country is its cultural asset.

Laws that protect animalsThe Prevention to Cruelty to Animals,1960  was amended in the year 1982.  According to the newly amended Indian animal welfare act,2011 cruelty to animals is an offence and is punishable with a fine which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees, which may extend to twenty five thousand Rupees or with imprisonment up to two years or both in the case of a first offence. In the case of second or subsequent offence, with a fine which shall not be less than fifty thousand Rupees, but may extend to one lakh Rupees and with imprisonment with a term which shall not be less than one year but
    8. 8. Building A CompassionateWorld When we give animals the same value as a living creature as human. we should learn to live harmoniously with animals. The land that we live on is not exclusively given to only human beings. We are sharing the land with animals. They have their own territory and their colony. Yet we always destroy their shelters, even kill them very ruthlessly. a variety of animal species should be preserved for educational purpose. A great number of animals die each year. If this phenomenon continues, only few animals will be left in a few decades.
