  3. 3. There are two ways we deal with this waste

  6. 6. The wrong way can really damage the reef
  7. 7. In urban areas humans can litter and dispose of chemicals incorrectly
  8. 8. When it rains the waste is transports by water across the land
  9. 9. Humans have design stormwater drains to handle these events
  10. 10. There are two types of stormwater drains
  11. 11. 1. Modern traps
  12. 12. Modern traps collect chemicals, dirt and rubbish before it reaches the environment
  13. 13. 2. Traditional
  14. 14. Traditional drains just transport this water and everything in it straight to the nearest creek or river
  15. 15. The Fitzroy River drains into the Great Barrier Reef
  16. 16. Anything that was in the stormwater will now affect the reef and all the animals that live there.
