Mission: To serve all North Carolina State University students by providing academically-based international experiences which will give them the skills to be active, informed, and culturally sensitive citizens in the global community.<br />During 2009-2010, the Study Abroad Office administered $180,150 in funds and awarded 215 awards<br />145 out of 478 students who applied were awarded scholarships<br />Study Abroad<br />

  5. 5. UNCEP Exchanges – Programs with an exchange between the University of North Carolina system and groups of overseas institutions. Room and meal costs are paid abroad and vary according to the location.<br />ISEP Exchanges - Administered by the International Student Exchange Program. Students pay room and board prior to leaving NC State and receive room and board free at their host institution.<br />Direct Exchanges - Based on agreements directly between NC State and our partner institutions. Room and meal costs are paid abroad and vary according to the location.<br />Exchange Semester or Year Programs<br />
  6. 6. NC State Direct Enrollment Programs – Students pay tuition and fees to the school abroad, rather than NC State tuition and fees. Credit received for the classes appears as transfer credit on your transcript.<br />NC State Group Programs – Students pay a fixed program cost for these programs. Classes are NC State classes, not transfer credits.<br />Non-Exchange Semester or Year Programs<br />
