What is it and why do I need to know about it? <ul><li>Helps determine progress toward technology goals. </li></ul><ul><li>Assesses the technology needs of the campus. </li></ul><ul><li>Indicates areas of improvement for technology integration. </li></ul><ul><li>Helps determine technology budget allocations. </li></ul><ul><li>Gives direction for professional development. </li></ul>

  4. 4. What are the standards? <ul><li>There are 4 areas that are measured: </li></ul><ul><li>Teaching and learning </li></ul><ul><li>Educator Preparation </li></ul><ul><li>Administration and Support </li></ul><ul><li>Infrastructure </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Each area is measured by teacher responses and are given a level of progress: </li></ul><ul><li>Early Technology </li></ul><ul><li>Developing Technology </li></ul><ul><li>Advanced Technology </li></ul><ul><li>Target Technology </li></ul>

Compared to the rest of the state, what are our levels of progress? <ul><li>Teaching and Learning – Developing Tech (69.7% of campuses at this level) </li></ul><ul><li>Educator Preparation – Developing Tech </li></ul><ul><li>(74.2% of campuses at this level) </li></ul><ul><li>Admin & Instr. Support-Developing Tech </li></ul><ul><li>(49% of campuses at this level) </li></ul><ul><li>Infrastructure – Advanced Tech. </li></ul><ul><li>(57.2% of campuses at this level) </li></ul>

Summary <ul><li>In 3 out of 4 areas, CHS progression level is only Developing Technology. </li></ul><ul><li>Infrastructure was the highest area. </li></ul><ul><li>CHS has kept pace with the majority of Texas schools. </li></ul><ul><li>More technology integration, staff development, administrative support is needed to improve student success. </li></ul>
