What have you learned from you audience feedback

  1. 1. What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
  2. 2. Hot Desking During class we did a process called ‘hot desking’, this is a rotation of class members, rotation round the room looking at each others products and leaving feedback. Here are some the comments I received and the changes I made in response. • ‘Not enough variation from main scene.’ Because of this I interspersed more shots of my artists and detail close ups of her playing the guitar. • Another comment was on how I’d altered the colour of my music video, saying it was too pink. Because of this I altered my footage to have a more natural appearance. • One person also said it looked as though I had reused some of my shots, so I tried to move them around and add different ones in order to address this.
  3. 3. Focus Group Whilst hot desking is useful, it only gave me feedback on my music video and not on my ancillary products or my promotion package as a whole, because of this I used a focus group of other students. I filmed this on my phone, but had trouble uploading the footage, because of this I have used quotes.
  4. 4. Do you feel the visuals of the music video are well suited to the song? My focus group thought the visuals and audio ‘went well’, however the audio was of low quality. This sadly was a problem I could not fix as this recording was the only copy the artist gave to me.
  5. 5. Overall what comments do you have about the music video? Some members of my focus group felt that the video was too long. I had matched it to the song, but upon watching it back I saw the same problem as them. Because of this I shortened the video, just using my favourite shots and faded out the music towards the end. They also felt the length of shots was too long, making the video unstimulating to watch. I addressed this by shortening my shots so make the video more fast paced.
  6. 6. Do you feel the products go together as a whole? My focus group felt that the digipak was not related to the other products enough. Because of this I added a still from my music video to my digipak.
