Why use databases? <ul><li>databases allow opportunities for children to develop classification skills </li></ul><ul><li>items can be added and deleted over a period of time </li></ul><ul><li>different groups of children can contribute </li></ul><ul><li>information collected can be sorted and displayed in different ways </li></ul><ul><li>databases can be kept for future reference and use </li></ul><ul><li>the software allows children to experiment with different graphs </li></ul><ul><li>NC and NNS links </li></ul>
