  2. 2. What’s a Twestival? Twestival ( short for Twitter Festival) is a global celebration of technology’s power to unite people and achieve social good.
  3. 3. On March 25 th, 2010 Twestivals will be held in , hundreds of cities worldwide to raise money and awareness for Concern Worldwide.
  4. 4. What is Concern? Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organization transforming the lives of the world’s poorest, most marginalized children through access to education.
  5. 5. Concern’s education programs target the poorest people in the poorest countries in the world, with particular emphasis on reaching out-of-school children such as girls, orphans, street children, working children, children affected by conflict, children affected by HIV and AIDS, and children with disabilities.
  6. 6. Concern’s programs currently reach 700,000 people in 29 countries. But more than 113 million children of primary school age (the majority of them girls) are not enrolled in school. Millions more are taught by untrained and underpaid teachers in overcrowded, unhealthy and ill-equipped classrooms.
  7. 7. To expand its programs, and make progress towards the International Development Target of universal primary education, Concern needs help.
  8. 8. New York' third Twestival will begin at 7 s :00 PM Thursday, March 25 th, 2010 and be held at Good , Units, 353 W 57th St., NYC. 100% of ticket sales will go to Concern Worldwide.
